In the heart of August, The Vision Mission embarked on a poignant journey to Trilochan Netralaya (TN) in Odisha, marking the inaugural Singapore-Odisha Ophthalmology Meet 2022. Led by esteemed professionals including Prof Quah Boon Long, Dr. Jayant Iyer, Dr. Raghuraj Hegde, Dr. Chen Jianping, and Mr. Mohamed Farook, our team embarked on a weeklong endeavor.
Despite the lingering shadows of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were driven by a shared commitment to extend compassionate care and uphold the bonds of collaboration. Together, we ran clinics, conducted follow-ups on critical procedures, and forged enduring connections with the community.
The Vision Mission's recent journey to Trilochan Netralaya (TN) in Odisha for the Singapore-Odisha Ophthalmology Meet 2022 was a testament to our unwavering dedication to compassionate care and collaboration. Led by a team of distinguished professionals, our weeklong endeavor left an indelible mark on the lives we touched and the bonds we forged.
Our team of five, including distinguished professionals from the Singapore National Eye Centre and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, embarked on a transformative journey to Sambalpur. Our mission was multifaceted, focusing on Continuing Medical Education, outpatient clinics, optometry proficiency, and sponsoring cataract surgeries for those in need.
2nd Singapore Odisha Ophthalmic Meet 2022: As honored guest speakers and faculty at the event, we engaged in spirited discussions with local ophthalmologists, fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration.
Clinics: Working alongside the clinical team in TN, Sambalpur, we encountered a spectrum of complex cases, spanning various ocular conditions. Witnessing TN's dedication to providing quality care, especially through optometry services and cataract surgeries, reaffirmed our commitment to making a difference.
Summary: Our journey underscored the transformative impact of collaborative efforts in eye care. Through education, clinical support, and surgical interventions, we strive to empower communities and enhance access to quality eye care.
